“And I also say to you that you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it” (Matt. 16:18 NASB).
Christians have shifted the gospel’s focus. They have made it about many things other than Jesus. As a result, the church today is in dire need of reformation. Christianity is simply Christ, the Anointed One and His anointing. Nothing more, nothing less. It is not an ideology, a philosophy, nor a social ethic. It’s the ‘good news’ that salvation, truth and love are found in the Person of Jesus. And that true humanity and community are founded on connection with the resurrected Christ.
The gospel or good news should not be obscured or hidden by a “sugar coated” or a “watered down” gospel. God’s words are sweeter than honey; they don’t need to be sugar coated, and you can’t water down water. God’s Word brings life to your bones. It provides healing to your marrow, your nerves, and your sinews. It heals your muscles and all your inner parts including your heart (Proverbs 3:8). God’s Word brings wholeness and healing to our body, mind and soul.
We must all realize the return of Christ is imminent. What God said and the prophets saw coming through the Spirit is happening today before our eyes. In these podcasts, I will challenge you to open your heart to the Word of God. I will also challenge you to open your eyes to what is happening in the world. The atmosphere is aligning like never before. This is true spiritually, morally, politically, and economically. In every way, it is time for the Church to make an impact. Look up in faith and anticipation, your redemption is closer than ever!
