The Three Most Powerful Evil Strongholds: Spiritual Warfare Revealed Part 2

I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken” (Ps. 16:8).

As a minister of the gospel, I trust the Holy Spirit guidance in the areas I am called to minister. When I first embarked on this assignment from the Lord, I didn’t know where to start. I also didn’t know where it would take me. I understood it would be daunting, challenging and painful at times. I remember saying to the Lord one day, “If you need someone send me.” My first ministry assignment was in a deliverance ministry. It focused on bringing healing and deliverance to people in D. C., Maryland and Virginia. These individuals were being held captive by drug addiction and illicit lifestyles. It was a powerful ministry in which God used the Word of God to change many lives and families. Our mantra was Luke 19:10. “For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”

In my book “Daughter of the King: Possessing Your Spiritual Inheritance” I shared:

When everything fell apart, I found myself in a place of brokenness. Although I was broken emotionally and spiritually at the time, I saw broken individuals and families whose lives had been shattered by addiction. I heard stories of pain and disappointment that challenged me to look at life from a different set of lenses. I was compelled by compassion to set aside my own pain to help in any way I could.” (excerpt from Daughter of the King: Possessing Your Spiritual Inheritance)

I see that same brokenness in our broken world today. We have impure motives and wicked politicians. There is political chaos and racism. We experience poverty, drug addiction, and fentanyl overdoses. Mental health issues and gun violence are prevalent. We face perversion, war, and death. The truth we must face is that our adversary, the devil, is out to deceive. He aims to destabilize and destroy the peoples and nations of the world. These are perilous times, as Paul warned Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:1. However, we have nothing to fear as Believers. “For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies. We are fighting against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world. This includes mighty powers in this dark world and evil spirits in the heavenly places.” (Eph. 6:12 NLT).

Recently, after beginning my podcast “Say It Out Loud” on Spotify, I felt a spirit of sadness. Uncertainty came over me. I was troubled in my spirit. I wondered if I was sensing anxiety because I would be confronting an evil unlike anything I’ve experienced before. Many of my recent posts have been focused on race, religion, and politics in America. They also discuss the church. I realized a coming awakening would occur in America. I had sensed this many years ago. Additionally, they handle deception in the church. I asked the Lord, “Am I on the right track on the issues of racism? Am I on the right track about demonic activity? Am I on track about the spirit of religion in the Church today?”

2 Corinthians 10:3-5 shows us that spiritual strongholds are arguments, lofty opinions, and thoughts. These are raised against the knowledge of God. Alternatively, they are held in esteem over Him. Strongholds are rooted in pride because they rely on the self. They lead to a prideful heart, unhealthy thought patterns, and habitual sins that we just can’t seem to overcome. Anything that we trust in besides the Lord can become a spiritual stronghold.

Because strongholds are spiritual, our battle takes place in the spiritual realm. We need to fight it with spiritual weapons. Ephesians 6:10–18 affirms that the weapons of our warfare are not carnal. They are spiritual weapons. These allow us to stand strong against the Devil’s schemes. Tearing down strongholds is not easy, and when we start to fight we will most certainly experience resistance. There can be both carnal and demonic spiritual strongholds in our lives, families, and churches. Christ’s power enables us to be free from them. It also gives us the ability to function in His power to help others be free from them too.

One of the final signs of impending judgment on a nation is the rise of false prophetic voices claiming to speak for God. Their words often contradict Scripture, while at the same time offering a nonexistent future of uninterrupted bliss. ‘

Carter Conlon

After the 2020 election, many prophets confidently prophesied that Donald Trump would win a second term. This made it clear to some in the Body of Christ about the gross misjudgment among many charismatic Christians. It is of utmost importance in the last days that we align our words with God’s Word. I was reminded of Jeremiah 23:25-26 (Voice), “I have heard these prophets who speak lies in My name. They say, “I had a dream, I had a dream,” and claim it was Me speaking to them! How long will this go on? Will the hearts of these lying prophets ever change? How long will they deceive themselves and all who listen to them?”

Later that night confirmation came to me through a YouTube video by Rick Joyner of Morning Star Ministries. During my early walk, I gained a lot of knowledge and understanding from his books and videos. So, I was eager to hear what he had to say. The video was titled “The Three Most Powerful Evil Strongholds Trying to Stop You”. It is important that we understand the times we are living in and what to expect. As Christians we need to know how to fight the good fight the good fight of faith in these turbulent times (1 Tim. 6:12).

Thank you for choosing to read this post. I hope it will help you know the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It should help you gain an understanding of the sovereignty of God over nations. It will also help you understand the challenges we face as a nation and the church.
