Awakening the Church: Returning to the Preaching of the Gospel

Be constantly alert, and strengthen the things that remain, which were about to die; for I have not found your deeds completed in the sight of My God.  (Revelation 3:2)

“The Spirit makes it clear that as time goes on, some are going to give up on the faith and chase after demonic illusions put forth by professional liars. These liars have lied so well and for so long that they’ve lost their capacity for truth” (1 Timothy 4:1). Christ fashioned a community that looked to God, trusted His judgment, and had eyes of vision for claiming the world. Our Lord planned the Church intentionally based on truth. He founded the church to create a community with integrity. This community would continue His work in the world. Afterward, He went back to be with His Father. -James Earl Massey

SCRIPTURE REFERENCE: “Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God.” Revelation 3:2

What is this message about? It is about awakening the church. We need to reevaluate where we are as the body of Christ. This is crucial in this time of chaos and confusion. We need to encourage the Church of Jesus Christ to awaken. The church must return to the preaching of the gospel as commanded in Matthew 28:19-20 and Mark 16:15-20. “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to [b]follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you [c]always, to the end of the age”( Matthew 28:19-20),

Prophetic word given inn 2007: “Strengthen what remains. You will have to be strong and courageous. Many are living for self without seeing the condition of God’s house. Sadly, many leave God’s house after service feeling empty, unsatisfied, and weak. This is not what God intended for His people, and it grieves Him to see it. Will we strengthen what remains of Christ’s church today or do we even care?
