The True Life of the Believer

Worship in Spirit and Truth (John 4:24) 

“God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.” This verse from John 4:24 encapsulates a fundamental aspect of a believer’s life: the nature of true worship. It warns against the dangers of remaining spiritually immature, susceptible to false teachings and deceit. The true life of a believer involves a commitment to growth and maturity. Believers continually deepen their understanding of the faith. They also deepen their understanding of the scriptures. This growth is achieved through study. It also involves prayer and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This process fosters resilience and discernment against misleading doctrines. A mature believer stands firm in their faith.
