- Hypocrisy: Deception can also manifest as pretending to uphold godly values while secretly acting contrary to them. This form of deceit undermines trust and damages faith communities.
- The Allure of Worldly Pleasures: Many people are deceived. They prioritize material wealth, status, or temporary pleasures over their relationship with God. They only find these pursuits ultimately unfulfilling.

How to Avoid Deception

Living in integrity and aligning actions with faith principles help to expose and resist deception. This includes being cautious of those who use empty words or vain practices to manipulate others.
