Speaking Spiritual Truths: Navigating Through Uncertainty -Part 2

“The house of the wicked will be destroyed, but the tent of the upright will flourish, There is a way that seems appears to be right, but in the end, it leads to death” (Prov. 14:11-12)

The journey of navigating through uncertainty is one that we all face at some point in our lives. It is a path where our perspectives, beliefs, and choices often come under scrutiny. This scrutiny is not just by others but by the divine truth revealed in God’s Word. As Proverbs 14:11-12 reminds us, “The house of the wicked will be destroyed.” In contrast, “the tent of the upright will flourish. There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death.” These words are a warning for believers. They also serve as a guide to align with God’s truth in an increasingly chaotic world filled with untruths.

Each of us tends to believe that our views are correct in our own eyes. Still, there are times when conversations reveal just how far certain beliefs can stray from spiritual truth. People may passionately stand by ideas that carry no alignment with God’s Word, yet they sincerely believe them. This is why the call to speak spiritual truths is more critical than ever.

The Call to Speak Spiritual Truths

The Lord speaks to His people in diverse ways—through dreams, visions, and prophetic words. I do not sense a personal call to give individual prophecies. But, I am called to proclaim spiritual truths. These truths are consistent with Scripture and the guidance of the Holy Spirit. This journey has been shaped by years of preparation. It includes dedicated study, living by faith, enduring seasons of testing, and learning to trust what the Spirit reveals.

Prophetic voices are tasked with delivering truth, regardless of whether it is received or believed by others. This responsibility requires believers to be “born of the Spirit” and grounded in the Word of God. This foundation is essential to discern false prophets who come in sheep’s clothing. It helps to avoid their influence, as warned in Matthew 7:15.

Throughout history, God has raised prophetic voices to deliver His Word to leaders, nations, and His people. These messages were not always heeded, often resulting in devastating consequences. The prophet Jeremiah serves as a poignant example. He was called, commissioned, and appointed to uproot, tear down, destroy, and rebuild. Jeremiah’s visions and proclamations revealed truths others could not see. These truths were confirmed by the Lord.

The State of Our World

Reflecting on these truths, I find myself deeply grieved by the condition of our nation and others around the globe. Over the years, I have observed an unsettling rise in divisive rhetoric, verbal assaults, racism, anti-Semitism, and outright untruths. These observations led me to revisit writings and reflections from 2016. It was a time when the Spirit prompted me to speak on these troubling trends.

Scriptures like Haggai 2, Hebrews 12, and Romans 13 underscore the urgency of our times. Haggai 2:6 declares, “In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth. I will shake the sea and the dry land.” Hebrews 12:26-29 elaborates on this concept. It indicates the removal of what can be shaken. This allows what can’t be shaken to remain. This divine shaking serves to refine and prepare us for the unshakable kingdom of God. Verse 25 warns us to heed the voice of the Lord. “See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks.”

I approach these words with reverence and a sense of responsibility. The love God has for His creation is profound, even as humanity’s sin and rebellion mar it. This love compels me to make sure that the truths I share are clear. They should not be clouded by personal opinions, political biases, or preferences. My sole motive must be to exalt Jesus and prepare the way for His return.

A Time to Wake Up

Romans 13:11-14 resonates deeply in this context. It reminds us that the hour has already come. You need to wake up from your slumber. Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The time to set aside deeds of darkness and clothe ourselves in the armor of light is now. As believers, we must reject division, jealousy, and immorality, choosing instead to walk in righteousness through Jesus Christ.

The church can no longer afford to be a “sleeping giant.” We are called to rise and clothe ourselves in the Lord Jesus Christ. We must live as reflections of Jehovah Tsidkenu, the Lord Our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:6). This requires a mind transformed by the Spirit, one that is capable of receiving and obeying God’s Word.

Listening to God’s Heart

In a world that often reduces Scripture to mere rationality, we must remain open to the Spirit’s revelation. The Word of God appeals to the human mind when that mind is surrendered to Him. The natural mind, nonetheless, can’t comprehend the things of the Spirit. God desires to share His heart and perspective with us—if only we will listen and obey.

As I write these words, I do so with a sense of urgency and hope. The shaking we witness in our world is not without purpose. It is a call to return to the foundation of God’s truth. We must prepare for His kingdom. We need to align our lives with His will.

May we, as believers, rise to speak spiritual truths with boldness. Let us do so with humility and love. We navigate through uncertainty with our eyes fixed firmly on Jesus Christ.

Blessings,

Minister A. Francine Green
