In life, all of us face moments of uncertainty—when the road ahead feels unclear, and we’re unsure of what to do. But even in these challenging times, there’s a source of guidance that’s always available to us: God’s wisdom. The Bible tells us in James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” What a promise! Asking for wisdom doesn’t require perfection, just a willing heart.
God is Our Sure Foundation
When life feels shaky, it’s easy to panic or feel overwhelmed. But there’s a solid foundation we can rely on: Jesus Christ. The Bible refers to Him as a “precious cornerstone” (Isaiah 28:16-17). If we trust in Him, we don’t need to be overcome by fear. God is sovereign—He oversees everything in the universe and in our personal lives. This means we can rest in His control, even when things feel out of control.
Understanding the Times
The Bible points to the Tribe of Issachar, a group of people who had the ability to understand the times and knew what to do (1 Chronicles 12:32). Like them, we also need to seek God’s wisdom to navigate our current circumstances. Whether it’s in our personal lives, communities, or global events, understanding the times helps us respond with clarity and faith.
God’s Wisdom is Always Available
God desires to share His wisdom with us. He encourages us to call upon Him, as stated in Jeremiah 33:3: “Call to me, and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.” His wisdom isn’t just meant for scholars or pastors—it’s for anyone who asks. Proverbs 2:7 reminds us that God gives wisdom to those who walk uprightly and protects their paths.
Living with Godly Wisdom
The wisdom of this world often feels smart and appealing, but the Bible warns us that it falls short compared to God’s wisdom (1 Corinthians 3:18-20). God’s wisdom isn’t just about knowledge—it’s pure, peaceful, considerate, and full of love (James 3:17). It helps us make decisions that align with His purpose for our lives.
Embracing a New Beginning
Uncertain times often bring opportunities for a fresh start. Isaiah 43:18-19 says, “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Letting go of old ways can be hard, but it opens the door for us to embrace what’s new. God is always doing something fresh, and He invites us to be part of it.
Moving Forward with Faith
In these times, let’s not just go through the motions. Let’s seek God’s wisdom daily and trust Him to guide us. He knows our future and has a purpose for each of us. As Romans 8:28 reminds us, “In all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
So, take heart. God’s wisdom is just a prayer away. He sees beyond our circumstances and offers the guidance we need to navigate life’s uncertainties. Let’s rely on Him as our cornerstone and embrace the new things He’s doing in our lives. Together, we can step forward with faith and hope.
Blessings to you all!
