A Reflection on Unity and Justice

As an American citizen, I’m not looking to “take back” our country; rather, I dream of shaping it into what it should truly be—a nation united in the values of liberty, justice, and equality for all. The vision of “one nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all” isn’t just words; it’s a calling, a promise we haven’t yet fully realized.

Hate, lies, and authoritarianism cannot lead us to greatness. These things tear at the fabric of what makes a nation strong—the bonds of trust, love, and mutual respect. Rigging elections and undermining righteousness isn’t just unfair; it goes against the very principles that should guide us as a people.

Dividing communities, sowing discord, and focusing on negativity will never bring us closer to the nation we aspire to be. In the eyes of God, such actions lead us further from the light of grace and faith. For those who live a life inspired by Christian values, constant negativity is the opposite of faith—it denies hope, healing, and the love that binds us.

If we truly want to make this country great, we must turn away from anger and division. Instead, let us work towards unity, fairness, and the pursuit of justice for everyone, regardless of background. Let us rediscover the heart of our shared humanity, grounded in compassion, faith, and the belief that every person deserves dignity and respect.

Together, we can move closer to the dream of being one nation, united in a shared commitment to liberty and justice for all.
