Daily, we face chaos and confusion in our lives. Yet, some believe these turbulent times show God is shaking things up. Hebrews 12:27-28 mention this. This passage speaks about the removal of things that can be shaken so that what can’t be shaken will remain. Essentially, it means that God’s kingdom is unshakeable, and we should be grateful for receiving it.
God’s Justice and Righteousness
At the core of God’s nature are righteousness and justice. Psalm 89:14 tells us that righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne. Love and faithfulness go before Him. This reflects the characteristics of God’s Kingdom.
The Church’s Call
God is doing something beyond what we can understand with our natural minds. He is calling the church to rise higher. He urges us to prepare for an outpouring of the Holy Spirit. There is also a preparation for the harvest of souls. Romans and John 16:13 say that the Spirit of truth will guide us into all truth. The Spirit will also reveal to us what is to come. John 14:15-17 promises that if we love Jesus and keep His commandments, the Father will send the Spirit of truth. The Spirit will be with us forever.
A Cry for Righteousness
There is a cry for righteousness throughout the nations. If we see through God’s eyes, we would understand the true state of America and other nations today. To turn back to righteousness, changes are needed in every sphere of government. Bishop Jackie McCullough expressed it well in her Twitter post years ago: “God is calling for a generation that will uphold the integrity of Christian Faith. Therefore, we must preach sound doctrine. We must also promote righteous living and make disciples out of others.” She also emphasized the importance of obeying God’s word, as His blessings come with obedience.
A Call for Revival
People are tired of the mundane and repetitive religious activities. They are weary of seeing Satan infiltrate their homes, schools, businesses, and government. They are longing for a fresh move of the Holy Spirit within the church. This is about to change! The church is receiving a wake-up call. Romans 13:11 and Ephesians 5:14 encourage believers to wake up. They prompt believers to rise from their slumber. Ephesians 4:15-19 reminds us to hold firmly to the truth in love. We are called to grow up in every way into Christ. He is the head of the church.
Repentance and Kingdom Living
God is calling the church to repentance. As Kingdom citizens, we should live as representatives of God’s Kingdom here on earth. Our true citizenship is in heaven. We should live as people who are free, not using our freedom as an excuse for evil. Prodigals are coming home. The heart of the church should be ready to get the coming outpouring of the Spirit. The church is not just a building; it is the people. Acts 2:17 says that in the last days, God will pour out His Spirit on all people. They will prophesy, see visions, and dream dreams.
Inclusivity in the Church
In conclusion, these times of chaos are signaling a new era for the church. God is calling His people to repentance, righteousness, and a higher level of spiritual living. Let us prepare our hearts for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. We should embrace the Kingdom of God with reverence and awe.
