Reflecting on Acts 17:26 and the Danger of Division
If you’ve ever wondered why there’s so much conflict and division between people, the answer, according to the Bible, goes all the way back to a spiritual battle. The Bible tells us in Acts 17:26 that God made every nation from one blood, meaning all humans are connected and share the same origin. God’s plan was for people to live together, respect one another, and fill the earth with love and understanding.
But Satan—the enemy of God—has always tried to block or ruin God’s plans for humanity. One of Satan’s main tricks is to stir up hatred and cause division. Throughout history, one of the most effective ways he has done this is by encouraging some people to think they are better than others simply because of the color of their skin. When this lie takes root, it leads to racism, pride, and conflict—things that separate people and go against what God intended.
Why does Satan do this? Because when people are divided, it’s much harder for them to experience the unity and peace that God wants for us. Hatred, racism, and the belief that anyone is “more deserving” or “superior” because of their background is not from God. It’s a tool the enemy uses to keep people from seeing that we are all created equal in God’s eyes.
So, what should we do? We need to remember Acts 17:26—that all people come from the same Creator, and that everyone deserves love and respect. When we reject hate and work toward unity, we are pushing back against Satan’s plans and living out God’s purpose for humanity.
