True love, authenticity, and self-reflection through the words of Jesus
Real love, as taught by Jesus, is never just for appearances—it’s meant to be authentic and heartfelt. You can’t claim to love God while harboring hatred for others; genuine love doesn’t wear a mask. Jesus challenges us to look inward before judging others, reminding us to address our own flaws first rather than fixating on the shortcomings of those around us. The Pharisees, religious leaders of His time, became infamous for outward displays of goodness that missed the deeper call to mercy, justice, and faithfulness. True faith demands honesty, integrity, and a willingness to change from within. In God’s view, living transparently—aligning our actions, words, and thoughts with our professed beliefs—is the only way to reflect real love and faith to the world.
