How God Confirms His Word in Our Lives

Understanding Divine Direction and Confirmation in Everyday Language

A few days ago, I found myself thinking deeply about which direction to take regarding some of the challenges our nation faces—especially when it comes to justice and righteousness. I was searching my heart, trying to sense what God might be saying about the situation. Was it just my own thoughts, or was God truly speaking to me?

Today, I experienced something powerful: confirmation. I realized that the insight I was sensing wasn’t just a personal feeling—it was truly from the Lord.

But what does it mean for God to confirm His word? And how does He do it? Let’s break it down in simple terms.

How God Confirms His Word

God doesn’t just give us messages and leave us wondering if we made it up. He provides clear signs to let us know He’s speaking. Here’s how He does it:

·      Signs and Wonders: God sometimes shows His power through amazing events that can’t be explained naturally. These miracles help us know the message is really from Him.

·      Miracles: Healings, deliverances, and other supernatural acts are ways God proves that He’s at work, making it clear the messenger is speaking on His behalf.

·      The Power of the Holy Spirit: When we feel the presence and strength of the Holy Spirit, it’s a sure sign that the message we’re hearing is true and from God.

·      Fulfilled Promises and Prophecies: When things God said would happen actually come to pass, it’s His way of showing He keeps His word—just as He did time and again throughout the Bible.

Examples from the Bible

The Bible is full of stories where God confirmed His word:

·      Mark 16:15-20: After Jesus rose from the dead, He told His followers to share the good news. As they went out, God showed He was with them by performing miracles that backed up their message.

·      Isaiah 44:26: This verse points out that God always confirms what His servants say and brings the words of His messengers to pass.

·      1 Thessalonians 1:5: The Apostle Paul wrote that the Good News didn’t come just with words, but also with power and the Holy Spirit, proving it was truly from God.

Why Does God Confirm His Word?

·      To Validate the Message: God wants us to know that what we’re hearing is really from Him. Miracles and signs are like His stamp of approval.

·      To Empower the Messenger: By showing up in powerful ways, God gives the person sharing the message confidence and authority to keep going.

·      To Assure Believers: Confirmation helps us trust that God is faithful, and that His promises can be trusted—even when things get tough.

In everyday life, God still works like this. When you feel Him guiding you, look for the ways He might be confirming His word—through unexpected encouragement, answered prayers, or even a sense of peace that you can’t explain. When God confirms His word, it’s an invitation to trust Him more and to boldly share what He’s put in your heart.
