A Clear Message for Everyone
Why Christian Nationalism Threatens the Growth of God’s Kingdom
Christianity is a faith open to everyone. Jesus Christ’s life, death, and resurrection show God’s love and forgiveness for all people. Christianity is not about where you’re from, what language you speak, or what country you belong to. It’s about knowing God through grace, loving others, and living with humility.
What Is Christian Nationalism?
Christian nationalism happens when people mix their faith with their country’s politics. It teaches that one nation or one group of people is “chosen by God,” and that the government should promote one religion above others. This idea turns Christianity into something about power and control, rather than kindness and welcome.
Why Does Christian Nationalism Hurt God’s Kingdom?
· It Changes the Message: Jesus taught love for all people. Tying faith to a nation often makes religion about winning or beating others, instead of loving them.
· It Excludes Others: Jesus welcomed everyone, no matter who they were. Christian nationalism risks making faith feel like a private club, rather than an open family.
· It Distracts from Jesus: The heart of Christianity is Jesus and His sacrifice, not laws or national pride.
· It Weakens the Church’s True Power: The Church has made the biggest difference when it stands for love and mercy—not when it tries to control governments.
What Did Jesus Teach?
Jesus spent time with people others ignored. He helped the sick, welcomed children, and defended the poor. He taught us to love our enemies, forgive, and work for peace. His followers are called to do the same—showing kindness to everyone, wherever they come from.
The Danger of Mixing Faith and Politics
History shows that using faith for politics leads to harm. Faith should be a voice for hope and healing, not a weapon for power. The true message of Christianity is reconciliation and service, not control.
How Should Christians Live?
Christians are called to be “salt and light” in the world—loving others, showing mercy, and making life better for everyone. God’s Kingdom is bigger than any country or political party. True faith is humble, listens, and serves.
Conclusion: Keeping Faith Pure
Christianity is not about building a political kingdom. It is about following Jesus, loving and forgiving others, and bringing hope to the world. When faith is focused on love, God’s Kingdom grows. When it seeks power, it loses its true meaning. Let’s remember: love God and love people, just as Jesus did.
Justice, Mercy, and Humility: Simple Lessons from the Prophets
The prophets Malachi, Micah, and Hosea teach us how to live well and honor God. Their words are still important today. They call us to build communities based on justice, mercy, and humility—values that reflect God’s unchanging faithfulness.
God’s Judgment and Faithfulness
Malachi reminds us that God’s judgment is real. Whole nations can fall because of their choices, not just bad luck. Israel survived because God kept His promise, not because they were perfect. God’s faithfulness comforts us, but also makes us responsible for how we live.
The Importance of Knowledge
Hosea warns, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” This means we should seek wisdom and understanding, not just facts. God wants us to learn and think carefully about our beliefs and choices. Ignoring knowledge can hurt ourselves and our communities.
Micah’s Simple Guide for Living
Micah 6:8 gives us three simple commands:
· Act Justly: Live with fairness. Stand up for those who are treated unfairly. Be honest and make sure everyone is treated right.
· Love Mercy: Show kindness, forgiveness, and compassion—even when it’s hard. Help others, be generous, and work for peace.
· Walk Humbly with God: Know you need God’s help. Trust Him, ask for guidance, and serve others without thinking you’re better than them.
Justice at the Heart of the Gospel
Justice is central to Jesus’ message. The gospel is about God making wrong things right and bringing healing. Following Jesus means standing up for justice, helping the hurting, and speaking up for those with no voice.
Biblical Justice: Relationships Matter
In the Bible, justice is about how we treat each other and connect with God. We’re called to actively do what’s right and help others, creating a world where everyone is loved and respected.
The Christian’s Role in Pursuing Justice
Christians believe God is the ultimate judge, but we must also work for justice now. Even though old rules were written long ago, their message is the same: do justice, love mercy, and walk humbly. These principles lead us to be peacemakers and helpers.
Bringing Hope and Healing
Let’s answer the call to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly. By living this way, we bring hope, healing, and true justice to our world—just as God has always wanted.
