Why Can’t We See the Truth? Reflections on Faith, Justice, and God’s Heart

Understanding God’s Perspective Through Acts 17:26 and Beyond

Seeing the Distortion of God’s Creation

Sometimes I find myself struggling to understand why people who call themselves Christians don’t recognize how the enemy tries to twist and distort God’s creation and humanity. According to Acts 17:26, God made every nation from one man, meaning we’re all connected and equal in His eyes. If that’s true, why is it so hard for many to see when people, ideas, or systems go against this truth? It’s not just about politics or ideologies – it’s about seeing reality as God sees it.

Seeking the Lord, Not Just Ideas

The Bible urges us to seek the Lord while He may be found, to call out to Him while He’s near. Instead of just relying on man’s opinion or political ideas – or any human philosophy – we’re supposed to ask God Himself for the truth. It’s so easy to get caught up in what the world says, but God’s word calls us to go straight to Him for answers. Why do we let opinions drown out the voice of the One who created us? If we truly believe God is near, why don’t we call on Him more often and trust what He reveals, rather than what society pushes?

Understanding Our History of Division

It’s heartbreaking to see how, throughout generations, people have held onto deep animosity toward others simply because of their nationality or background. They act as if some groups are lesser than others, even though God made us all from one blood. This goes directly against everything God stands for – justice, truth, and love. It genuinely makes no sense, especially for people who claim to follow Christ.

God’s Justice and Righteousness

I truly believe that justice will be served in the end because God is not only a God of justice but also of truth, love, grace, and mercy. His heart breaks when we live in ways that go against His will – when we mistreat others, hold onto prejudice, or let worldly thinking guide our actions. If we want to honor God, we need to let go of the things that divide us and seek His heart above all else.

What Can We Do?

·      Ask God for His truth: Take time to pray and seek God’s perspective, not just what the world says.

·      Challenge old ideas: Be willing to let go of beliefs or attitudes that don’t line up with God’s word, especially when it comes to how we see and treat others.

·      Embrace justice and love: Remember that God’s heart is for justice, mercy, and unity. We should reflect that in how we live.

·      Show grace and mercy: Just as God shows us grace, we should extend it to others, regardless of their background.

At the end of the day, being a Christian is about following Jesus – not a political party, not an ideology, but the living God who loves every person deeply. Let’s honor Him by living out justice, truth, and love in our daily lives.
