Growing in Faith: Reflections on the Journey

Wondering About God’s Path and Our Spiritual Awakening

Looking back, I realize that 2016 marked a turning point in my spiritual journey—a season when my faith began to grow and change in ways I never expected. It was during this time that I started to sense God’s voice more clearly, especially through the prompting of the Holy Spirit. At first, it all felt so mysterious and even confusing. I often found myself asking, “How is this possible? Can I really hear God so personally?”

As the years passed, I began to better understand these moments and nudges. I am now truly amazed by the things I sensed back then and how they have shaped my faith today. I’m more convinced than ever that God sometimes uses these experiences to wake us up—to stir something deep within us. I believe that a spiritual awakening is not just something we read about in history books; it’s desperately needed right now to rouse the church from its comfortable sleep.

As I’ve reflected on scripture, it’s become clear that the church is supposed to be the first place where change and renewal begin. The Bible says that judgment—or, really, self-examination—starts in the house of the Lord. But sometimes, we get off track. Over time, outside influences and even good intentions can lead us away from God’s heart. We end up thinking that we’re doing God’s will, but if we’re honest, we can see that the church hasn’t always lived up to its calling.

That realization isn’t meant to discourage us. Instead, it’s an invitation to repentance and restoration. It’s a reminder to return to the foundational truths taught by the apostles and to seek God’s guidance with fresh humility and expectation. If we do this—if we genuinely turn back to Him and allow His Spirit to shape us—then the church can truly shine. We’ll be able to make a real impact and show God’s glory to a world that desperately needs hope.

So, as I continue to grow in my faith and spiritual gifts, I find myself asking God, “Where are you leading me next?” I may not have all the answers, but I’m learning to trust the journey, knowing that He is always with me—guiding, correcting, and awakening His people to something greater.
