Another well-known example is found in Genesis 3, where Satan appears as a serpent to tempt Eve. He doesn’t outright deny God’s Word but subtly distorts it. When Eve told the serpent that God commanded her and Adam not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, Satan responded with a question: “Did God really say that?”
This planted a seed of doubt. He further convinced Eve that eating the fruit would make her like God, knowing good and evil. By twisting God’s instructions and appealing to Eve’s desires, Satan led both Eve and Adam into disobedience.
