What Does It Mean to Trust in the Lord?
The phrase “Trust in the Lord with all your heart” (Proverbs 3:5) is an invitation to put your confidence in God. It means believing in His wisdom, power, and love rather than depending solely on what you think or feel. It’s like saying, “God, I trust that You know what’s best for me, even if I don’t understand it right now.”
Don’t Rely Only on Yourself
The verse also says, “Lean not on your own understanding.” This part reminds us that our knowledge is limited. We don’t always see the bigger picture, and we can make mistakes when we try to figure everything out on our own. Trusting in God means asking Him for help and direction, knowing He sees what we cannot.
