How Trusting God Transforms Everyday Encounters: A Short Reflection
Living by faith and extending kindness to others isn’t always straightforward, but it’s a practice I strive to embrace daily. People often remark that I’m good with others or ask about my kindness, and I’m genuinely surprised each time because I don’t view myself that way. Upon reflection, I recognize it’s not my own doing—it’s Christ working through me. Encountering individuals who are challenging or hard to connect with pushes me to set aside my personal feelings and resist acting out of my own desires. In those moments, I focus on demonstrating God’s love, even when it feels difficult. I remain deeply grateful for the ongoing transformation Christ brings and the opportunities to express His kindness to those around me.
Trusting God shapes how I approach every interaction, especially when kindness feels out of reach. Rather than depending on my own strength or instincts, I rely on God’s grace to direct my responses, allowing me to view others with compassion through His perspective. Each day presents new chances to reflect Christ’s love, and I’m thankful for the growth and humility that come from walking by faith. Choosing faith and kindness is a continual journey—one that teaches me humility and fosters personal growth. There are moments when I am pushed beyond my comfort zone, particularly with those who aren’t easy to engage. These are the times my faith is tested, challenging me to respond with compassion instead of judgment. Every encounter becomes an opportunity to show Christ’s character, even when it doesn’t feel natural. I’ve come to realize that authentic kindness stems not from my own abilities, but from trusting God to help me. These experiences have reinforced the importance of living out my faith daily, especially in how I relate to others.
