Exploring How False Beliefs About Race and Nations Contradict God’s Truth
What Is Deception?
Deception means believing something that isn’t true—sometimes because someone intentionally leads us astray, and other times because we misunderstand or ignore the truth ourselves. The Bible warns that many people will be deceived, especially about important matters like God and how we should treat each other.
How Does the Bible Warn Against Deception?
The Bible makes it clear that deception is a real danger. Jesus said, “Watch out that no one deceives you,” and often talked about how people would be misled, especially in the last days. The apostle Paul also warned that people would follow lies instead of the truth. These warnings remind us to stay alert and check everything against what the Bible actually says.
Deception About Race: A Trick of Satan
One big way Satan has deceived people is by making them believe that one race is better than another because of the color of their skin. This idea has led to centuries of pain, division, and injustice. But the Bible teaches something completely different. In Acts 17:26, it says, “From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.” This means God created every nation and every person so they would seek Him. We are all equal in God’s eyes, and no group is better than another.
The Bible on Nations Rising Against Nations
The Bible also talks about ongoing conflicts between nations. Jesus said that “nation will rise against nation,” which we see happening throughout history. These conflicts can be fueled by deception—false beliefs about superiority, misunderstanding, or hatred. But God’s plan is for all nations to seek Him and find peace, not to be divided by lies or hatred.
How Can We Avoid Being Deceived?
1. Know What the Bible Says: Read scripture for yourself and learn what God really teaches about people, race, and nations.
2. Reject False Beliefs: Don’t accept ideas that go against God’s truth—like the belief that some races are better than others.
3. Seek Unity: Remember that God created everyone to seek Him. We are meant to live in peace and love, not division.
4. Stay Alert: Be aware that deception can come in many forms, and always check what you hear against the Bible.
The Bottom Line
Deception is real and can lead us away from God’s truth. The belief that one race is superior to another is a lie that goes against what God teaches. The Bible tells us that God made all people and wants us to seek Him together. Let’s stand against deception by holding onto the truth and treating everyone with love and respect, just as God intended.
