It’s Time to Get Serious About Our Spiritual Life in Christ

Understanding Our Position in a World Spinning Out of Control

Let’s be honest—these days, the world feels chaotic. News of wars, rumors of wars, and all sorts of challenges—cultural, racial, religious, and political—make it feel like everything is spinning out of control. In times like this, it’s easy to lose our sense of direction and wonder where we stand. But more than ever, this is the moment to get serious about our spiritual life in Christ.

Why Now?

When the world feels uncertain, it’s natural to look for something solid to stand on. Our faith in Christ gives us that foundation. It’s not just about being religious or going through the motions—it’s about knowing who you are and whose you are. The storms may rage around us, but our position in Christ is a place of peace, security, and hope.

The Warning from Scripture

There’s a passage in the Bible that says, “God will not always strive with man” (Genesis 6:3). Simply put, this means God’s patience with human wrongdoing isn’t endless. While God is loving and patient, there comes a point where He draws a line. The Holy Spirit works in our hearts, nudging us to turn away from harmful choices and toward God. But if we ignore those nudges for too long, there’s a limit—after which judgment comes.

The Boundary Between Mercy and Justice

God’s mercy is amazing, but it’s not a license to be complacent. There’s a boundary where mercy gives way to necessary justice. This isn’t meant to scare us—it’s a loving warning. It reminds us not to take God’s patience for granted. Now is the time to respond, to seek Him, and to let our lives be changed.

What Does “Positioning in Christ” Mean?

Knowing your positioning in Christ means understanding that, through faith, you belong to Him. You’re not alone and you’re not powerless. In Christ, you are loved, forgiven, and empowered to face whatever comes. It’s about trusting Him, leaning into His guidance, and letting your life reflect His love—especially when times are tough.

Don’t Wait—Take Action

The challenges we see in the world are a wake-up call. Don’t put off getting serious about your spiritual life. Spend time in prayer, read the Bible, connect with others who share your faith, and ask God to show you your purpose and direction. Let the Holy Spirit lead you, and remember: God’s patience is a gift, but it’s not endless.

Now is the time to get real about your relationship with Christ. It’s the best way to find peace and strength when everything else feels uncertain.
