Over the 23 years I have been walking with the Lord there has been many times where I have gone through trials, tests, and battles. I can’t say these were fun times because they weren’t. They were a necessary part of building up my faith for the journey. In this last round the enemy came up against my family, my finances, my health, my business. and my God-given vision. The disciples understood they must go through many hardships to enter into the Kingdom of God (Acts 14:22).
When the enemy comes in like a flood rest assured that it is not because you are doing something wrong. It’s because you are doing something right. The enemy does not want you to be what you are called to be. Satan’s main purpose is to weaken our faith and ultimately destroy our destiny. Satan is a roaring lion seeking to devour the plans and purposes of God (1 Peter 5:8).
God is a just God. He will fight for you, you need only be still (Exodus 14:14). Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood. The Bible tells us that when the enemy comes in as a flood God promises to raise up a standard against him. … (Isaiah 59:19). This is a promise!
God will fight for you purely for His own name’s sake. He will reckon with His enemies….to the enemies of justice and truth that try to oppress you for they also are God’s enemies . The attack is spiritual. Many times we may be tempted to look at our circumstances or people and see them as the enemy. The enemy may use people or your circumstances as tools, but the attack is spiritual in nature. Your enemy is not people, finance, or other obstacles you may be facing. Satan wants to stop you from fulfilling God’s purposes.
I’m not telling you the battle is easy. This enemy is real and fierce. He will stop at nothing to try to bring you defeat and destruction. 2 Corinthians 10:4 says, “The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.”
The Lord says, “I will raise up a standard against him!” All of God’s promises are Yes and Amen! When we receive a word from the Lord we should say “Amen.” Remember, “no weapon formed against us will prosper.” This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from Him.
