The Root of Bitterness

Prophetic Perspective

Without holiness we will not see God.  I believe the theme of the Lord this year has been holiness. At the beginning of the year I sense the Lord saying we need to return to holiness and purity.  I shared some prophetic insights for this year that I believe are significant for the church to move forward out of its slumber to make an impact on our culture. You can read the repost at year http://www.afrancinegreen.com.

This morning while meditating Romans 12:18 and Hebrews 12:14 was impressed upon my spirit.

“If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone.” Romans 12:18

“Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.”?Hebrews 12:14

We should make every effort to live at peace with everyone. This is God’s will for His children.

Bitterness is ugly. Daily we see a root of bitterness spreading across this nation. Social media is inundated with people expressing their discontent and it spreads like wildfire As a nation and people we fall short of God’s grace when bitterness is allowed to take root in our hearts. Many are defiled when the root of bitterness spreads. “See to it that no one falls short of the grace of God and that no bitter root grows up to cause trouble and defile many.” Hebrews 12:15

As we walk in the light, the glory of the Lord will rise upon the Church.

Blessings,
