Faith is confidence expectation of receiving the things hoped for … the promised inheritance of the Lord. Faith is the evidence that gives proof of the existence of the unseen world. Confidence in the realization of your hope, “do not throw away your confidence which will be greatly rewarded” (Heb. 10:35; 11:1). It being sure of the reality of what we cannot see.
Along this 25 year journey of faith there have been many promises, revelations, prophetic words speaking of things that I could not see with my natural eyes. Seeing beyond the present into the future manifestation of the promise requires faith. Although I couldn’t see the things promised I stand firm in my conviction of what has been spoken to me. Meditating on God’s Word builds the capacity for believing what God promised will one day manifest in the natural realm. It builds a vision of reality of the things hoped for that awaits an appointed time (Hab. 2:3)
God is outside of the realm of time and space. There is no time with Him. He never changes. He is the same yesterday, today and forever (Heb. 13:8). Faith imparted into your spirit by the Word of God becomes the assurance (confirmation, title deed) of the things we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see and conviction of their reality. “…faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses (Heb.11:1 The Amplified Bible).
I had to surrender my thoughts and yield my mind to the process of being transformed by the Spirit of God. The presence of God can only be known by experience. Your eyes have to be opened, your heart has to become vibrant and receptive, and your ear attuned to receive revelation (Isa. 6:10). The Holy Spirit opens up to us worlds beyond our natural ways of knowing and seeing. Our eyes and ears have been open to see beyond the world in front of our eyes to the world and possibilities that lies behind what our eyes can see.
“When the Spirit is released both upon and within a person, their eyes, ears and heart are opened to a world beyond their limited seeing, hearing, feeling and discerning.” – Bishop Mark Chironna, Ph.D.
We are to be continually immersed in the world of the Spirit if we are to see, hear, feel and discern the things the Spirit of God intends for us to know and understand. “Eye has not seen nor ear heard, nor entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love him” (1 Cor. 2:9).
We cannot begin to envision with our natural eyes the things that God has prepared for us. God reveals them to us by the Holy Spirit.
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.
Blessings,
Dr. Francine
