“But solid food is for the mature, whose spiritual senses perceive heavenly matters. And they have been adequately trained by what they’ve experienced to emerge[ with understanding of the difference between what is truly excellent and what is evil and harmful.” (Hebrews 5:12 TPT)
I am writing this series of posts so that the church would not be ignorant of the enemy’s devices during this time of transition as the church has moved into a new era. I hope is to empower your faith and encourage you to open your life to new levels of discernment, love and moving in kingdom authority.
During seasons of transition, we sometimes have to let go of our comfort zones and securities. It may even be necessary for God to stir up our little comfortable nest to get us moving. If we would listen carefully during those times, we will hear His voice urging us to to “Come up higher”
Transition: “the act or process of changing from one form or state to another.: Longman Dictionary
Everything and everyone in the world moves through various seasons and transition. Nations go through different seasons as certain events force difficult and sometimes painful transitions. America is presently going through a very painful and necessary transition that will hopefully restore democracy. The only thing that can restore us is a revival in the form of another Great Awakening that restores our moral and spiritual foundations.
As the Church is transitioning into this new era, it is clear that God is expeditiously completing a restoration process He started many years ago. God is restoring truth and righteousness in the earth. For the church to become relevant again, she has to step into this new era in which we will witness the power of God, signs, miracles and wonders as was evident in the early church in the Book of Acts.
Unless the church handles this transition with great wisdom, she will continue to be irrelevant and powerless to impact society and culture. She will remain an irrelevant institution instead of the light of the world she was meant to be. (Matt. 5:14-16)
This is not about seeing a demon behind every door. Peter gave warning regarding the tactics of the enemy to seeking to devour the people of God that we should take heed to. “Be well balanced and always alert, because your enemy, the devil, roams around incessantly, like a roaring lion looking for its prey to devour. 9 Take a decisive stand against him and resist his every attack with strong, vigorous faith. For you know that your believing brothers and sisters around the world are experiencing the same kinds of troubles you endure.10 And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ,[e] will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.
We should not be ignorant of Satan’s devices to take advantage of us and hinder the coming of God’s Kingdom on earth. “so that we would not be exploited by the adversary, Satan, for we know his clever schemes.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 The Passion Translation (TPT)
I hope this message will create a hunger and passion in your heart to growing in God’s kingdom authority and to surrender your senses to the Holy Spirit. My effort is to share truths to bring a plumb line that will help the people of God do everything according to the Word of the Lord. My primary resource is the Bible. But years of personal experience have made a huge impact on how I learned to apply God’s Word in my life.
