You will also decree a thing, and it will be established for you; And light will shine on your ways.”
Job 22:28 (NASB)

The Word of God is powerful, active and well able to profoundly influence your life. You have an eternal and unbreakable covenant. All of God’s promises are “Yes” and “Amen” to you! (2 Corinthians 1:20)

God is a God Who Speaks

As I mentioned in an earlier post this a year to decree a thing!  As I was talking with a friend at the beginning of the year, I felt the overwhelming presence of the Holy Spirit say “as you decree a thing it will be done.” “As you speak into the lives of others change will come.”

Prophetic declarations will draw you closer in intimacy with Almighty God!

Decree:

…an order usually having the force of law a judicial decree by royal decree. 2a : a religious ordinance enacted by council or titular head a papal decree. b : a foreordaining will God’s decree. Merriam-Webster’s Dictionary.

Declaration: a formal or explicit statement or announcement; the act of declaring

Daily confession of the Word will strengthen your inner man and prepare you for every good work. The following are some reasons why the confession of the Word is found to be powerful in our lives.

Decreeing and declaring God’s promises over your life even in the midst of difficulties and pains is a powerful scriptural and spiritual weapon for experiencing daily victory in life.

For with you is the fountain of life; in your light we see lightPsalm 36:9 (NIV)

This will be a decade of decreeing the Word of the Lord over ourselves, over our families, our neighbors, our churches, and our nations. The Lord is expanding our vision so that we can see beyond our natural circumstances, and become the “salt of the earth” and “light of the world”. So that the people who walk in darkness will see a great light. What we declare with our mouths, what we speak, what we say, will be key for victory and for advancing the Kingdom of God.

The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his handsDay after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledgePsalm 19:1-2 (NIV)

A part of recognizing the times and seasons we are in is acknowledging the prophetic power of the season and what that means for your life. When you actively align yourself with what God is doing in this time, you will see breakthrough!

Proverbs 18:21 says: “The tongue has the power of life and death.” Below are several decrees you can make daily in anticipation of the fulfillment of God’s Word:

  • I decree a blessing over my life that I will be full of the power of the Holy Spirit, be activated in the gifts of the Spirit and shift the spiritual atmosphere by His holy presence wherever I go.
  • I decree that I will seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness and all of my provisions will be added to me in abundance. “So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly..” (Matthew 6:33 TPT)
  • I decree a blessing over all my relationships, beginning with my family: that God will bless my children, my grandchildren and my friendships in His Church and in the marketplace; and that my entire family will be saved.
  • I decree a blessing over my finances, that God will break the spirit of poverty off of me and my bloodline and that I will prosper financially; that God would bless me with the power to gain wealth; and that I will advance His Kingdom with my generosity.
  • I decree a blessing over my life that I a will be led by His Spirit and His Word, that I will know and obey His will and that I will fulfill my prophetic destiny.

May you sincerely enjoy a season of increase and may you be forever established in the manifestation of His glorious Word!
