“We look away from the natural realm and we fasten our gaze onto Jesus who birthed faith within us and who leads us forward into faith’s perfection. His example is this: Because his heart was focused on the joy of knowing that you would be his, he endured the agony of the cross and conquered its humiliation, and now sits exalted at the right hand of the throne of God!” –Hebrews 12:2 TPT
Now is the time to adjust your vision by taking your eyes off your problems and fixing them on Jesus, who is the author and finisher of our faith.
It’s not easy and it takes discipline, but focusing on the troubles of our lives only diverts our attention away from God. We have an amazing example in Christ, who endured the unimaginable to obtain the prize of redemption for us.
“Let’s look to Jesus and focus on Him.
Looking away [from all that will distract] to Jesus, Who is the Leader and the Source of our faith [giving the first incentive for our belief] and is also its Finisher [bringing it to maturity and perfection]. He, for the joy [of obtaining the prize] that was set before Him,
endured the cross, despising and ignoring the shame, and is now seated at the right hand of the throne of God” (Hebrews 12:2 AMP).
