Move your heart closer and closer to God, and he will come even closer to you. But make sure you cleanse your life, you sinners, and keep your heart pure and stop doubting.” –James 4:8 TPT

What a wonderful invitation we have in the Book of James. A promise that if we will move our heart closer to God, He will come closer to us. During this time of uncertainty this an opportune time to draw near to God, and trust that He will draw near to us.

Life has slowed down … ceased to exist as we have known it. Prior to the outbreak of Covid-19, many people were in a rush with little time to spend in the presence of the Lord.  This is a perfect time to connect or reconnect with God .

Earth time usually means “rush.” Rushing to get to work … rushing to get kids to school … We have fast food, rush hour traffic, instant this and instant tha

The only place that time becomes your friend is in the Spirit realm. People who live in the Spirit know how to work and walk with time. –Roberts Liardon, Author

Drawing near to God positions us to step into his timing for the fulfillment of His purposes on earth. It gives us an opportunity to reposition ourselves for the future.

Several years ago the Holy Spirit revealed to me that there is power in the little prefix “re.” Latin: back to the original place; again, anew, once more …

In Hebrews 12:26-29 God says yet once more I will shake heaven and earth. “Since we are receiving our rights to an unshakeable kingdom we should be extremely thankful and offer God the purest worship that delights his heart as we lay down our lives in absolute surrender, filled with awe. For our God is a holy, devouring fire! –Hebrews 12:26-29  TPT

Let’s make the most of this time. The Scriptures tell us to make the most of every opportunity. “So be very careful how you live, not being like those with no understanding, but live honorably with true wisdom, for we are living in evil times. Take full advantage of every day as you spend your life for his purposes. And don’t live foolishly for then you will have discernment to fully understand God’s will. And don’t get drunk with wine, which is rebellion;[f] instead be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. And your hearts will overflow with a joyful song to the Lord Jehovah. Keep speaking to each other with words of Scripture, singing the Psalms with praises and spontaneous songs given by the Spirit!Always give thanks to Father God for every person[i] he brings into your life in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And out of your reverence (deep respect), honor) for Christ be supportive of each other in love. “

Ephesians 5:14-21 TPT
