Knowing God By Experience

“I want to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection and participation in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,” –Philippians 3:10 NIV

Why We Must Think Rightly About God

In today’s message hightlights:

Matthew 6:21 “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.”

Proverbs 23:26 “My son, give me your heart and let your eyes delight in my ways,”

The Spirit of religion has to be broken!

“…religious spirit is all about the form and nothing of the substance of true spirituality. It encourages pride and arrogance rather than submission to God’s will in humility.” C. Peter Wagner, Chuck Pierce Freedom from the Religious Spirit

Always the most revealing thing about the Church is her idea of God, just as her most significant message is what she says about Him or leaves unsaid, for her silence is often more eloquent than her speech. She can never escape the self-disclosure of her witness concerning God. ” A. W. Tozer Knowledge of the Holy

  1. The gravest question before the Church is always God Himself, what we in our deep heart conceive God to be like.
  2. What comes to your mind when you think about God?

Were we able to know exactly what our most influential religious leaders think of God today, we might be able with some precision to foretell where the Church will stand tomorrow.” A. W. Tozer Knowledge of the Holy
