Reunited with God in Christ Jesus

Understanding Our Place with God

We feel like we are just barely inside the kingdom of God. It’s as if we are standing just past the doorway. But as Christians, we are much more connected to God than we realize. Because of Jesus, our nature is joined with God’s.

Jesus came to earth and died on the cross. He rose again. Through these actions, He made it possible for each of us to be united with Him. This means that the victory, honor, and closeness with God that Jesus has can also belong to us. Jesus said that He is in us, and God is in Him, so together we are made whole. God loves us just like He loves Jesus.

Jesus’s mission wasn’t just to save us. It was to show all people that they can share in His special place in God’s heart. Jesus stands before God for us, showing what is possible for anyone who follows Him. He is our example, and we are being shaped to be like Him.

Often, we have a small view of God and His kingdom, like looking through a tiny crack in a door. But if we trust and have faith, we can realize that Jesus is sitting at God’s side. He is there for us. We belong with Him. Because Jesus is accepted by God, we are accepted too. If God loves Him, God loves us. If Jesus is safe, we are safe. If He has won, we can also win with Him.

It can change our whole lives if we believe this truth. We don’t have to settle for a small or distant relationship with God. Instead, we can look up to God, trust Him, and see Jesus as our bridge to God’s heart.

No one can come to God except through Jesus, but through Him, anyone can come. So let’s take that step. Let’s move closer into God’s heart and live there with confidence and joy.

The main point is this: Jesus, our great high priest, is in heaven with God, leading us into God’s presence. Where the first human, Adam, led us away from God, Jesus brings us back. God has made a way for us to be close to Him. He welcomes us in because of what Jesus has done.

Let’s accept that invitation and live in the victory and love God has given us through Christ Jesus!
