Awakening in a World of Confusion and Hardship
Our world is often clouded by confusion, trials, and spiritual darkness. It is crucial to refresh our relationship and faith in the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This importance has never been greater. Rooting our lives in the unchanging truths of Scripture builds a strong faith. This faith endures even when uncertainty and adversity surround us. As we unite as one body of believers and grow in faith and unity, we become empowered. We can show God’s glory to a world yearning for hope and light.
Heeding the Spirit’s Sobering Message
The Spirit of God declares, “My people don’t know my word. They do not know my ways.” This serves as a powerful and sobering reminder. It echoes the message found in Hebrews 3:10 and Psalm 95:10. In Hebrews 3:10, God laments over a generation that continually strays in their hearts, unfamiliar with His ways. Similarly, Psalm 95:10 speaks of God’s grief. He grieves over a people whose hearts wandered for forty years. They did not know His ways. These passages urge us to go beyond mere outward profession. They emphasize the necessity of deeply knowing and embracing God’s Word. We must walk in obedience and relationship with Him. The Spirit’s admonition challenges us to think about our own lives. It calls us not only to hear, but to act. We must seek intimate knowledge of God through His Word and follow His guidance wholeheartedly.
Personal Reflection: A Call Amid Political and Spiritual Turmoil
I first sensed these words in my spirit in 2016, during a period marked by national political upheaval. This message was significant to me. It resonated deeply amid widespread uncertainty and division. It prompted me to re-examine my own understanding of God’s Word and His ways. I did not rely on the shifting voices around me. Instead, I drew closer to God. I sought clarity and direction from His enduring presence and Scripture.
This was also a pivotal moment as the nation’s conversations about conservative Christianity and its role in politics intensified. As faith-based values began to influence political platforms more visibly, the Spirit’s message became increasingly urgent. This season highlighted the need for discernment. It also emphasized a renewed commitment to foundational truths. Believers were reminded to anchor their perspectives in God’s Word. They should do this rather than follow the ever-changing tides of cultural debate.
Growing Up in Faith: From Routine to Relationship
Raised in the Baptist tradition, I attended church services, Sunday school, and vacation Bible school regularly. Yet, for much of my life, my understanding of God was superficial. It was based on stories and teachings rather than a genuine relationship. It wasn’t until a challenging family situation arose that my spiritual journey took a deeper turn. I attended church with renewed intent. Engaging more actively in faith communities, I experienced a profound hunger to know God personally. My desire to know intimately God grew daily. I felt driven to seek His presence and guidance with greater devotion.
Deepening My Understanding: Resources That Shaped My Journey
I wanted to know God more, so I studied independently. I explored books and resources that expanded my understanding of Him. J. I. Packer’s “Knowing God” played a life changing role in shaping my perspective on God’s character. Study guides by Charles Swindoll and Charles Stanley offered practical wisdom. They provided encouragement that fueled my spiritual growth and deepened my hunger for a genuine relationship with God. These resources continue to inspire and sustain my walk of faith today.
Ministry and Purpose: Responding to God’s Call
Today, as a minister of the gospel, I have been given a prophetic calling not by my choosing. Yet, I have an unwavering wish to share the good news with all who will listen. Even as political and cultural uncertainties persist, I continue to witness the Spirit’s faithful guidance. This is especially true in the midst of overwhelming challenges. This is also true midst shifting circumstances. The Spirit’s prompting has fortified my resolve. It equips me to speak truth and offer hope. I am encouraged to discern this moment in light of God’s truth. I strive to lead others toward the peace and clarity found in Christ. This happens amid the noise and turmoil of our times.
Gratitude, Service, and the Call to Awaken
My pursuit is not for recognition or material reward. My heart overflows with gratitude. This is for the forgiveness and mercy I have received through Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. This grace has transformed my life. My deepest wish is to be a vessel. I aim to shine His light into the darkest situations. I also want to share the hope and healing found in Him. Now, more than ever, I sense the Spirit urging us all to awaken. We should listen attentively to what the Lord is speaking. We should also respond wholeheartedly to His church today. Let us rise together—not for our own glory. Let us magnify Christ. We should invite others into the transforming grace He freely offers.
