Hope, Glory, and Transformation for Today
Welcome, friends, to a fresh look at one of the most powerful truths of our faith: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. Many of us celebrate this miracle every Easter, but what if I told you that Christ’s resurrection is not a one-day event? It’s an ongoing promise, a living hope that can shape every moment of our lives.
Newness of Life: Beyond Easter Morning
Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die” (John 11:25-26). These words are more than a comforting saying—they’re an invitation to experience new life now. Because Jesus conquered death, we can live each day with a sense of freedom, peace, and purpose that nothing else can give.
Glory in Life and Death: Hope That Endures
For believers, the end of our earthly journey isn’t a defeat—it’s a moment where God’s glory shines brightest. The Bible tells us, “Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his faithful servants” (Psalm 116:15). Even after we’re gone, our legacy of faith continues to bless others, just like Proverbs 10:7 says: “The memory of the righteous is a blessing.” In both life and death, God’s goodness and hope are never out of reach.
What Does It Mean to Glorify?
To glorify God simply means to show how amazing and wonderful He is. It’s like turning on a light in a dark room—suddenly, everything becomes clear and beautiful. We glorify God by trusting Him, following Jesus, and letting His love shine through our words and actions. Romans 5:2 says, “We rejoice in hope of the glory of God,” reminding us that His brilliance is something we can experience and share right now.
Power Over Sin and Death: Faith That Transforms
The resurrection isn’t just about hope for the future—it’s about real change today. Because Jesus rose from the dead, sin and death no longer have control over us. Romans 8:3-4 explains that God did what we couldn’t: He sent His Son to set us free from the power of sin so we can live differently. Paul echoes this in Philippians 3:10-11, when he shares his longing “to know Christ—yes, to know the power of his resurrection… becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, attaining to the resurrection from the dead.” Through faith in Jesus, we experience new strength, new choices, and a new heart.

Christ’s resurrection is not just a story from long ago—it’s the heartbeat of our faith and the source of our hope every day.
