If we are honest, the signs are all around us. We are living in a time marked by confusion, violence, deception, rebellion, and a growing hatred for what is holy and right. What many call “normal” today is often open sin before God. What many excuse as freedom is, in truth, lawlessness. The moral collapse we see in our homes, communities, and nations is not just a social issue—it is a spiritual warning.
The Bible spoke of these days long ago. Jesus warned, “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold” (Matthew 24:12). The Word of God plainly says, “Sin is lawlessness” (1 John 3:4), and Paul declared that “in the last days there will be very difficult times” (2 Timothy 3:1). We should not be shocked by the darkness of this hour. God has already told us that in the latter days sin would abound, rebellion would rise, and many would turn away from truth. What we are witnessing is not random—it is the unfolding of what Scripture said would come.
But this is not the hour for God’s people to grow weak, silent, or asleep. This is the hour to repent, to pray, to stand on God’s truth, and to refuse compromise. We must guard our hearts, stay alert in the Spirit, and keep our lamps burning. Though lawlessness is increasing, the people of God must shine brighter, walk holier, and love the truth more deeply than ever before. The darkness may be rising, but the light of God’s Word still burns, and Jesus is still calling people to salvation, righteousness, and readiness.
Key Bible references: Matthew 24:12; 1 John 3:4; 2 Timothy 3:1-5; 2 Thessalonians 2:7. These passages remind us that the increase of sin and lawlessness is a sign of the times—and a call for believers to stay watchful, faithful, and ready.
