After reading about what people in Cuba are going through, my heart is with the families dealing with daily blackouts, medicine shortages, and not enough food. When electricity keeps going out, it is not just an inconvenience—it means food spoils, water systems fail, hospitals struggle, and sick people can’t get the care they need. No matter what anyone thinks about politics or governments, ordinary people should not be the ones paying the price. From what humanitarian groups and international organizations are reporting, the crisis has been made worse by fuel shortages and sanctions, while years of internal problems have also hurt basic services. At the end of the day, the people suffering most are children, older adults, patients, and working families who are simply trying to survive. They deserve electricity, medicine, food, and dignity—not to be trapped in a power struggle.
Let us pray: Lord, we lift up the people of Cuba to You today. Please bring light where there is darkness, healing where there is sickness, and hope where there is despair. Comfort families who are struggling to find food, medicine, and safety. Strengthen doctors, caregivers, and all those trying to help. Touch the hearts of leaders and move them toward mercy, justice, and peace. May those who are suffering be seen, protected, and cared for. In Your grace, provide for every need and remind them they are not forgotten. Amen.
