Together Is a Gift From God

Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:9-12
“Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

There is something so comforting about remembering that we were never meant to do life alone. In His love, God made us for connection, for care, and for the kind of support that helps carry us through hard days. He sees when our hearts are tired, and so often He reaches us through the people He lovingly places in our lives.

Sometimes that help comes through a quiet prayer, a phone call at the right moment, a kind word, or simply someone choosing to stay close when we need it most. God has a beautiful way of reminding us that we are loved and not forgotten, often through the gentle presence of others.

This Scripture softly reminds me that we truly do need one another. We are stronger when we walk together, steadier when we encourage each other, and more at peace when Christ is at the center of our relationships. What a precious gift it is to have people who help lift our hearts when life feels heavy.

Today, I am thanking God for the people He has placed in my life—the ones who pray, encourage, listen, and simply show up. And it makes me want to be that kind of person for someone else too.

Takeaway: God often reminds us we are not alone through the love and presence of others.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for the gift of loving relationships and godly fellowship. Help me to cherish the people You have placed in my life, and make me a source of strength, comfort, and encouragement to others. Keep Christ at the center of my relationships, and bind us together in Your love. Amen.
