A Steady Foundation
Life can feel uncertain. Plans change, responsibilities grow, relationships become strained, and the future may not always look clear. Isaiah 33:6 reminds us that God is not shaken by what shakes us. He is the sure foundation for our times.
Wisdom for Everyday Life
Isaiah says God is a rich storehouse of salvation, wisdom, and knowledge. Knowledge helps us understand what is true, but wisdom helps us live it out. Knowledge may tell us that our words matter; wisdom helps us speak with kindness. Knowledge may show us our options; wisdom helps us choose what honors God.
The Key to the Treasure
The “fear of the Lord” means living with deep respect, trust, and reverence for God. It is not about running from Him in fear; it is about walking with Him in humility. When we recognize that God is wiser than we are, we become more willing to listen, obey, and follow His direction.
Today’s Reflection
We live in a world full of information, but information alone cannot make us steady. We need God’s wisdom to know what is true, what is right, and what is loving. The stability we long for is not found in having every answer. It is found in trusting the One who does.
Simple Practice
Before making a decision today, pause and pray: “Lord, give me wisdom. Help me see clearly, speak kindly, and choose faithfully.”
Prayer
Lord, thank You for being my steady foundation. When life feels uncertain, help me trust You more deeply. Fill me with wisdom and knowledge, and teach me to walk with reverence, humility, and faith. Amen.
