When life places impossible odds in front of us, this promise reminds us where our hope truly comes from: not in our own strength, but in God’s limitless power. Jesus’ words invite us to trust Him beyond what we can see, believe beyond what we can understand, and remember that with God, all things are possible.
Sometimes we look at what God has called us to do and think, “There is no way I can do that.” It may feel too big, too hard, or too far beyond our ability. But the good news is this: we are not doing it alone. God’s presence with us is what makes the impossible possible.
Our first job is to remember that God is truly with us. He has not stepped away from us, and He has not asked us to carry His work in our own strength. He wants us to follow Him, obey Him, and take part in the mission Jesus gave His followers: to make disciples and carry the message of His Kingdom into the world.
The Bible says, “And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13
Faith, hope, and love are not just nice words. They are gifts from Jesus that help us grow and become more like Him. Think of them like good soil, fresh rain, and warm sunshine. They help the life of God grow in us so that we can bear fruit for His Kingdom.
Faith helps us trust God and step out when we do not see the full picture. Faith connects us to God’s power. Each of us has been given a measure of faith, but we have to use it. When we trust God and act on His Word, He can work through us in ways we could never accomplish on our own.
Hope helps us keep going. Hope is the joyful expectation that God is good and that He keeps His promises. When we know Jesus and see His goodness, hope begins to grow in our hearts. Without hope, life can feel heavy and limited. But with hope, we begin to believe that God can still move, still restore, still heal, and still open doors.
Love changes everything. Without love, we can become discouraged, harsh, or focused only on rules. But love helps us see God as a good Father. Love helps us look for His promises and believe for His answers. Love gives faith the right heart and keeps hope alive.
If we truly believe God is with us, we will not just hear His call—we will expect Him to help us live it out. Jesus called His followers to do powerful things in His name. He told them to heal the sick, raise the dead, and believe that nothing would be impossible with Him.
So let’s take Jesus at His word. Let’s trust that His presence is enough. Let’s walk in faith, hold on to hope, and lead with love. The impossible becomes possible when God is with us—and everything we do is for His name and His glory.
