Beyond Republican and Democrat: Why America Needs an American Agenda

America doesn’t need more division — America needs a shared purpose.

We hear a lot about the Republican agenda and the Democrat agenda. But maybe it’s time we ask a bigger question: what about an American agenda?

Not an agenda for one party. Not an agenda that divides neighbors, families, and communities. An agenda for all Americans — the people who get up every day, work hard, raise families, serve others, pay bills, pray, hope, struggle, and still believe this country can be better.

An American agenda should start with common sense: safer communities, good schools, honest work, affordable living, respect for faith and freedom, care for our veterans, opportunity for our children, and leaders who remember they work for the people — not the other way around.

We don’t have to agree on everything to agree that America belongs to all of us. We can debate ideas without destroying each other. We can hold our beliefs and still respect our fellow citizens. We can remember that before we are Republicans or Democrats, we are Americans.

One nation under God. Indivisible. With liberty and justice for all. That should not just be something we say — it should be something we live.
