One of the most dangerous ways Satan blinds people is by convincing them that some people matter less than others. He wants people to believe that God did not create every race, every nation, and every person in His image and likeness. But that is a lie. The Bible says God created mankind in His own image. That means every human being carries worth, dignity, and value because every person was made by God.
When people start believing that one race is better than another, or one nationality is more valuable than another, they are not walking in the truth of God. They are walking in darkness. Satan blinds the mind by making people proud, fearful, angry, and suspicious of others. He teaches people to look at skin color before they see a soul. He teaches people to judge a person’s worth by culture, country, language, background, or social class instead of seeing them as someone created by God.
Second Corinthians 4:4 says that the god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of Christ. In simple words, Satan does not want people to see the truth clearly. He does not want them to see Jesus clearly. He does not want them to see people clearly. Because once we truly see Christ, we must also see the humanity of the people Christ came to save.
This blindness shows up in many ways. Satan uses race to divide people who should be loving one another. He uses religion to make people look holy on the outside while their hearts remain hard on the inside. He uses politics to make people more loyal to a party, leader, or nation than to the truth of the gospel. When these things become bigger than God’s love, people begin to excuse hate, defend injustice, and call division righteousness.
But the gospel tells a different story. The gospel says God’s love is not limited to one race, one nation, one color, one culture, or one political side. Jesus did not come to save only people who look like us, talk like us, worship like us, or vote like us. Jesus came because the whole world needed a Savior.
Galatians 3:28 reminds us that in Christ, the old walls that people use to rank and divide each other do not have the final say. We do not lose our differences, but our differences are not supposed to become weapons. In Christ, no person is spiritually superior because of race, background, status, or nationality. At the foot of the cross, everyone needs mercy, and everyone is offered grace.
When nations fail to see the humanity in all people, great damage follows. Hearts grow cold. Families are torn apart. Communities become suspicious of one another. Laws and systems can become cruel. Violence can be justified. Injustice can be ignored. People can suffer simply because others refuse to see them as neighbors made in the image of God.
This is the kind of disruption Satan loves. He loves when people stop listening to truth. He loves when nations forget compassion. He loves when religion becomes a cover for prejudice. He loves when politics becomes an excuse for cruelty. He loves when people use God’s name while mistreating the very people God created.
But we must remember this: no race is inferior. No nationality is beneath God’s concern. No people group is outside the reach of God’s love. Every person has a soul. Every person has a story. Every person was created by God and is accountable to God. And every believer is called to love people with the love of Christ.
If our faith makes us proud, hateful, or blind to another person’s suffering, then we need to come back to the gospel. If our politics teach us to ignore injustice, we need to come back to the gospel. If our religion allows us to speak of God while despising people made in His image, we need to repent.
The light of Christ opens blinded eyes. The love of Christ softens hardened hearts. The gospel teaches us that we cannot truly love God while hating people He created. We cannot claim to follow Jesus and still believe that some people are less human, less valuable, or less worthy of dignity.
This is a serious call to repentance. We must turn away from every lie that makes us see people as less than human. We must repent for every way we have allowed race, religion, politics, pride, fear, or prejudice to become louder than the gospel. We must repent for excusing hatred, ignoring injustice, defending division, or using God’s name while failing to love people made in His image. The time is now to come back to Christ, come back to truth, and come back to the love of God that leaves no room for superiority, hatred, or spiritual blindness.
Lord, open our eyes and remove every blindness from our hearts. Forgive us for the times we have followed the spirit of this age instead of the Spirit of Christ. Forgive us for allowing race, religion, politics, pride, fear, and prejudice to shape how we see others. Cleanse us from hatred. Deliver us from division. Teach us to honor Your image in every person, regardless of race, creed, color, nationality, or background. Bring us back to the truth of the gospel, and let our lives show the world that Your love is greater than every lie of the enemy. In Jesus’ name, amen.
