Jesus is still calling His people today. His message is simple, powerful, and urgent: “Come, for all things are now ready” (Luke 14:17). This invitation reminds us that God has prepared salvation, forgiveness, grace, and eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Christ has prepared a place for His church. In John 14:2, Jesus said that He was going to prepare a place for His people. That means believers have hope beyond this world. We are not living for this life only. We are waiting for the day when we will be with the Lord forever.
The invitation of Christ is just as important today as it was when He first spoke it. Time has passed, but the message has not changed. Jesus is still saying, “Come.” Come receive His grace. Come turn from sin. Come stop making excuses. Come find life in Him.
Many people are distracted by the cares of life. Some are too busy. Some are too comfortable. Some keep putting off what God is calling them to do. But the parable of the great supper shows us that rejecting God’s invitation has consequences. When God calls, we should not delay.
The church today must wake up and remember its purpose. We are called to live ready, share the gospel, and invite others to Christ. The Kingdom of God is not sad or empty. It is like a great celebration. There is joy, peace, forgiveness, and eternal hope in Jesus.
This message is for everyone. God’s invitation is generous and open. The poor, the hurting, the broken, the forgotten, the weak, the rich, the strong, and the lost are all invited to come to Christ. No one is too far away for His grace.
- God’s invitation is generous. He welcomes all people to come to Him.
- Rejecting God’s invitation matters. Excuses can cause people to miss what God has prepared.
- There is urgency in God’s call. We should respond while there is still time.
- The Kingdom of God is a celebration. Life with Christ brings joy, hope, and eternal peace.
- The church must invite others. We are called to share the good news and point people to Jesus.
Today’s Encouragement
Do not ignore the invitation of Christ. Do not let fear, pride, sin, comfort, or distractions keep you away from what God has prepared. Jesus has made the way. The table is ready. The place is prepared. The call is still going out: Come.
Call to Action
Today, say yes to Jesus. If you are already a believer, live ready and help others hear the invitation. Pray for someone by name. Share the love of Christ. Tell them that Jesus saves, Jesus welcomes, and all things are now ready.
