Scripture Focus: “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…” — Acts 17:26, KJV
The same God who made the heavens and the earth also made every person. Before we are known by our nation, culture, language, family, class, or opinion, we are first people created by God.
Genesis 1:27 says that God made human beings in His own image. This means every life has value. Every person matters to God. No one is worthless. No one is outside of God’s sight.
God Made All Nations
In Acts 17, Paul spoke to people who did not know the true God. They had many idols, but they did not know the Creator. Paul told them that the God they did not know was the One who made the world and everything in it.
Acts 17:26 teaches that God made all nations from one man. He decided their times in history and the places where they would live. This shows us that God is not the God of only one group of people. He is the Creator of all people.
God Is Not Far Away
God did not create people so they could live far from Him. Acts 17:27 says God made people so they would seek Him, reach for Him, and find Him. The verse also reminds us that God is not far from any one of us.
That is good news. No matter where a person comes from, God is near. No matter their background, God sees them. No matter their past, God can call them, save them, and change their life through Jesus Christ.
Faith Must Be More Than Words
If we say we know God, our lives should show it. Faith should not be only a label we wear or words we say. Real faith changes how we treat people.
First John 3:17-18 teaches that love is not only spoken. If we see someone in need and close our heart, how can we say God’s love is in us? Love must be shown in action and in truth. In simple words, love helps. Love gives. Love notices. Love cares. Love does not just talk; love moves.
Our Minds Need God’s Truth
Romans 1 warns us about what can happen when people reject the knowledge of God. Their thinking can become dark and confused. They may begin to call wrong right and right wrong.
But there is hope. The gospel of Jesus Christ can change the heart and renew the mind. Romans 12:2 tells us not to be conformed to this world, but to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.
A mind that has wandered can be renewed. A heart that has grown cold can be softened. A life damaged by sin can be changed by the grace of God.
How We Honor the Creator
We honor God not only with our words, but with our lives. We honor Him when we seek Him. We honor Him when we love people made in His image. We honor Him when we refuse to use faith as a mask while our hearts stay unchanged.
The same Creator made us all. He is not far from any of us. The question is, will we seek Him? Will we reach for Him? Will we let His love become more than words and become the way we live?
