Those Who Wait: Finding Strength in God (Isaiah 40″31)

Scripture focus: Isaiah 40:31

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.”

Isaiah reminds us that those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar like eagles, run without growing weary, and walk without fainting.

Waiting can be hard. We want answers, open doors, and a clear path forward. But waiting on the Lord does not mean giving up or doing nothing. It means trusting Him while we pray, listen, prepare, and take the next right step.

Fresh Strength for Today

God’s people needed to remember that He had been faithful to them. We need that reminder too. When fear rises, we can remember His care and bring our worries to Him. We do not have to let doubt guide our words or choices.

God knows when we are tired. He sees the burdens other people cannot see. We do not have to pretend to be strong or depend only on ourselves. We can ask Him for the strength to keep going.

Some days we feel ready to run. Other days we can only take a small step. Waiting in faith means trusting God in both seasons. His strength helps us stay faithful, even when life is hard.

See This Season with Faith

Problems, delays, and disappointing news can fill our minds with fear. Instead of only asking, “What is happening?” we can also ask, “Lord, how do You want me to respond?” His Word helps us stay awake to His truth and walk with hope.

Faith Beyond the Church Building

The Church is more than a building or a Sunday service. It is the people of God. We carry the love and truth of Jesus into our homes, workplaces, schools, and communities. Even while we wait for answers, we can serve others and show His love.

Make the Message Clear

God told Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain. Clear words help others understand and respond. When we share what God is teaching us, we should use simple words that encourage people rather than confuse them.

How Do We Wait?

  • Trust. Believe God is faithful, even before the answer comes.
  • Listen. Make time to pray and read His Word.
  • Prepare. Do what you can while trusting God with what you cannot do.
  • Obey. Take the next right step, even when the whole path is not clear.
  • Expect. Wait with hope. Time spent trusting God is not wasted.

A Question for Our Hearts

Are we reacting with fear or responding with faith? Are we waiting in frustration or learning to trust? We can be honest with God about our struggles and ask Him to help us.

Those who wait on the Lord are not forgotten. Waiting is a time to grow, prepare, and receive fresh strength. Keep your hope in Him. Whether today calls for soaring, running, or simply walking, trust Him for the next step.

Prayer: Lord, teach us to wait with faith and patience. Give us fresh strength for today. Help us understand this season, listen to Your Word, and obey You. Keep us from pride and fear. Help us share Your truth clearly and show Your love wherever we go. Amen.
