As ministers of the gospel, we have the responsibility to build God’s Church according to God’s pattern. We tell others about Christ, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all the wisdom God has given us. We want to present them to God, perfect in their relationship to Christ (Colossians 1:28 NLT).
1 Peter 2:5 says, “you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.”
Every house is built by someone, but God is the builder of everything. Christ is faithful as the Son over God’s house just as Moses was faithful in all God’s house. He is the chief cornerstone We are Christ house if we hold firmly to our confidence and the hope in which we glory. (Hebrews 3:1-6).
Nothing was more to the Apostle Paul than building up the people of God and presenting them perfect in Christ Jesus. He was constantly evaluating, judging, admonishing, and warning the churches, leaders, and all the saints to beware of being deceived and devoured by grievous wolves (false apostles, prophets, teachers etc.), and drawn away by every wind [shift] and doctrine espoused by cunning trickery of unscrupulous men.
Let us be sober, watchful, and prayerful in the perilous times!
“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts [Word] have good understanding.
To him belongs eternal praise” (Psalm 111:10).
