Passover to Pentecost

We are living in a significant time. I was preparing for a previous broadcast on Monday when I read these Scriptures. I sensed a shift take place in the spiritual realm and knew in my spirit that something significant is taking place.

The Apostle Paul said 1 Corinthians 16:1, 9, and 14 The Passion Translation (TPT), “Regardless, I will remain in Ephesus until the feast of Pentecost. There’s an amazing door of opportunity standing wide open for me to minister here, even though there are many who oppose and stand against me. Remember to stay alert and hold firmly to all that you believe. Be mighty and full of courage. .. Let love and kindness be the motivation behind all that you do.”

What caught my attention was “I will remain.” I discovered that this year the Passover starts at sundown on March 30, and goes through sundown April 7. The feast of Pentecost will take place 50 days later on May 20, 2018. Pentecost (“the fiftieth day”) commemorates the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles on the fiftieth day after the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Apostles began to speak in many languages and received other spiritual gifts during this time. The event was foretold by Jesus before his Ascension.

These things I have spoken to you while dwelling with you. But the Helper, the Ruach ha-Kodesh whom the Father will send in My name, will teach you everything and remind you of everything that I said to you. “Shalom I leave you, My shalom I give to you; but not as the world gives! Do not let your heart be troubled or afraid.” (John 14:25-27 Tree of Life Version (TLV))

Jesus said in John 15:4, “Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.” If a branch remains or abides attached to the vine in such a way that it is receiving all that the branch has to give, then that is a picture of what John means by believing or trusting Jesus.”

He says in John 1:12, “To all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 15:8 says “In this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit and so prove to be My disciples.”

Jesus was crucified and resurrected from the dead during the Passover holiday. Then 50 days later during the Feast of Weeks, or Pentecost, God sent the power of the Holy Spirit. This allows us today to be filled with God’s power, which goes a step beyond salvation

On Saturday, I read a prophetic word by Doug Addison (elijahlist.com), “This year God is going to release prophetic strategies to you during the time of Passover. They may come in the form of prophetic words or dreams, or God speaking to you through the Bible or other people. Get ready to hear God more clearly.”

“April 7-May 20, 2018 is a time in which God will reveal plans of breakthrough and Passover strategies, along with the release of His power to bring them about.”

I love it when God reveals Himself through the prophetic word. God is always up to something. Many of you, like me, may be going through personal attacks against your family, health or finances. I encourage you to expect God to reveal strategies to help you avoid difficult times or even receive a blessing in the midst of them. I know I am expecting God to show Himself mighty on behalf of those who abide in His love so that the Father May be glorified in this season. Jesus loves you, just as the Father loves Him (John 15:9).

Happy Resurrection Day!
