Beloved, I pray that in all respects you may prosper and be in good health, just as your soul prosper.
3 John 1:2
Many people, especially women, are walking around trying to navigate through life with wounded spirits or souls. I for one, have had to learn through God’s amazing grace and unfailing love how to overcome negative, self-defeating thoughts that creep in to destroy your self-worth and destiny. Whether it was because of my own foolish choices or what others may have thought of me the truth is I am God’s masterpiece created in Him for “good works”.
This series of posts are designed to encourage and strengthen women of every race, nationality and color no matter your age or stage in life that God designed you as a masterpiece, not a basket case. You are created in the very image of God to show forth His glory. Stop trying to be perfect to meet man’s standards. You are flawless!
You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.
Song of Songs 4:7 NIV
You are not a basket case! The world defines basket case as a person or thing regarded as useless or unable to cope. Yet, I couldn’t find that word in Bible depicting God’s creation. God designed women to be gentle, loving, caring, nurturing and strong.
She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.
Proverbs 31:25 NIV
The world defines women by their shape and size, the clothes they wear, how they syle their hair, how much their jewelry costs or what comes out of their mouth. Too often we try to live up to that image. God calls us beautiful inside and out.
Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as elaborate hairstyles and the wearing of gold jewelry or fine clothes. Rather, it should be that of your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God’s sight.
1 Peter 3:3-4
It’s time to remove the mask and go beyond the veil of deception. You my sister are flawless!
How beautiful you are, my love, how very beautiful! Your eyes are doves behind your veil.
Song of Solomon 4:1
