Here is the great evangelical disaster –the failure of the evangelical world to stand for truth. There is only one word for this–namely, accommodation: the evangelical church has accommodated to the spirit of the age. –Francis Schaeffer
In parts 1 and 2 I wrote about Jesus Warning Against /Hypocrisy and Seven Woes On The Teachers of the Law and The Pharisees. So, what does this mean for the church today?
While we weren’t paying attention, everything changed–our world eroded from a Christian era to a post-Christian era. It’s a new kind of Dark Ages.

The body of Christ at large lacks discernment. Discernment is absolutely necessary in this hour as false prophets and false teachers are arising around the world with smooth sayings. Apostle Paul says,
…to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. Romans 16:17-18
The number one weapon Satan deploys in the lat days is deception. The Book of Revelation says that he was hurled to the earth and ” leads the whole world astray” whose primary activity is accomplished as he “goes forth throughout the four corners of the earth ( the far ends of the world; all parts of the world) “to deceive the nations.” (Rev. 12:9; 20:8)
Scripture gives the church plenty of warning that in the last days false teachers and false prophets will arise. God warns us many times in Scripture to be aware of false teaching. Christians need to be able to recognize false teachers and prophets in order to know when they are being led down a path that God did not intend! (Jer: 23:16; Matt. 24:24; Acts 20:28-30; 2 Tim. 4:3-4).
As the church, we should be advancing the kingdom, making disciples of nations.
