So Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers, to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13
The church has entered a new era. A time when many prophets and righteous people longed to see what we see but did not see it, and to hear what we hear but did not hear it. (Matthew 13:17) An era is a period of time marked by distinctive character, events, etc. This time will be marked by the most exciting and fruitful season in church history. The Body of Christ has the potential to fully reveal Jesus Christ. This will result in the greatest harvest of souls in world history.
God is restoring His church the (“ekklesia” the called out ones) to the original design and purpose that Jesus said he would build. “…and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” (Matthew 16:18).
I have been longing for this time sense the beginning of my prophetic journey. As I look back over my journal notes from many years ago, as far back as 2004, I see how the Holy Spirit has been navigating my journey towards this time in history.
God longs to pour out His glory on His people. Unity and maturity will be required in the Body of Christ if we are to participate in this coming move of the Spirit. Things are moving towards the fulfillment of God’s eternal plan.
The Lord expects greater things for His church. The Spirit of Truth will show us things to come. A door is open! We must be willing to come up higher in our understanding of what God is doing in this no season. Revelation 4:1
Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming.
Ephesians 4:11-14
The Holy Spirit has been restoring the five fold ministry gifts the Lord gave to the church. Christ appropriated the fullness of His anointing in the five-fold ministry gifts: apostolic, prophetic, evangelistic, pastoral, and teaching gifts to build up His church so that 1) we would mature as Christ’s body; 2) minister to others; and 3) fully reveal His nature on earth. These gifts were not given as positions or titles; rather, they were given as grace gifts, functions or abilities for the building of His Kingdom on earth.
Ephesians 4:14 says that we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming when the church has been equipped for the work of His service.
As the apostles, prophets, evangelists, the pastors and teachers equip the church for works of service in God’s Kingdom, the body is being built up into a mature church, attaining to the full measure of Christ. Apostle Paul admonished us to walk in unity based upon what we have been taught. We are not ignorant of the truth, living for his glory.
It is so important we move with wisdom and spiritual discernment that we are able to discern the moving of God’s Spirit. God is a big God, and Scripture is clear that the way He thinks is not the way we think. As God continues to restore the truth of His Word, we must open our hearts to the new things He is doing. We must have discerning hearts to be able to clearly hear His voice, properly distinguish the move of His Spirit, and receive all that He is pouring out in this new season.
May God speak to you mightily through this series of messages.
Blessings,
