I believe God is calling his church to come up higher so that we can influence the earth for his glory
Psalm 63:1
A psalm of David. When he was in the Desert of Judah. You, God, are my God, earnestly I seek you; I thirst for you, my whole being longs for you, in a dry and parched land where there is no water.
To be parched is to make or become dry through intense heat.
When I meditate on this Psalm I think of beholding His glory because His love is better than life. For this reason, my lips will forever praise Him!
I remember Him during the night watches when I cannot sleep. I cling to Him in the midst of the storm. His right hand upholds me. My soul follows hard after Him. I will rejoice in Him all the days of my life.
The deep things of God and the riches of His grace are unfathomable.“How great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!” Romans 11:33
In this hour of gross darkness, there is a light dawning over the horizon. One truly has to see the light of the glorious gospel in the midst of this dark time in history.
In my journey with the Lord I find myself eager for the spiritual realities spoken of by the Apostle Paul in the Book of Ephesians. I am thirsty for God, never satisfied with the mere words of man. Thirsty for the fountain of living water. “The law of the Lord”—or, the teaching of Jehovah—“is perfect, reviving (or restoring) the soul. Psalm 19:8
I trust I speak the truth in love. There is a longing in the hearts of God’s people that mere words cannot satisfy. They desire God above all. They are thirsty to taste and see “that the Lord is good;” Psalm 34:8 To experience the sweetness of the love of Christ.
Blessings,
