God is calling His people into a new mindset. This means we cannot keep thinking only from the natural point of view. We must learn to think according to the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and the will of God.
Romans 12:2 says, “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” A renewed mind helps us see life differently. It helps us understand that God is working, even when we cannot see everything with our natural eyes.
Faith is a major part of this new mindset. Faith hears the Word of God and obeys it. Romans 10:17 says, “Faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.” True faith is not just believing in our mind. True faith responds to what God says.
Hebrews 11:6 says that “without faith it is impossible to please God.” Faith opens our hearts to trust God, follow God, and move with God. Faith allows our spirit to respond to the realm of the Spirit. It helps us receive what God reveals and walk it out in the natural world by His grace.
Faith Hears and Obeys
Faith is more than words. Faith listens to God and obeys God. James 2:17 says, “Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.” If we say we have faith, but we refuse to obey God, then our faith is not active.
Saul is an example of what happens when a person hears the Word of the Lord but does not fully obey. In 1 Samuel 15, God told Saul through Samuel to destroy the Amalekites and all their possessions. But Saul kept what God told him to destroy. He tried to explain his disobedience by saying the animals were kept for sacrifice.
Samuel answered him, “To obey is better than sacrifice” (1 Samuel 15:22). Saul could not see clearly what God was doing because his heart was not fully submitted. If Saul had acted in faith and obeyed the Word of God, he would not have been rejected as king.
This teaches us that faith must be joined with obedience. We cannot move into greater levels of faith while holding on to partial obedience. God is not looking for religious activity without surrender. He is looking for hearts that trust Him enough to obey Him.
A Holy Priesthood
God has not only saved us; He has also called us to serve Him. First Peter 2:9 says, “You are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession.” This means believers have a holy identity and a holy assignment.
As a priesthood, we are called to worship God, stand before Him, pray, intercede, and represent Him in the earth. We are not called to live as passive people. We are called to carry His presence, speak His truth, and reveal His glory through our lives.
Revelation 1:6 says Jesus “made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father.” This priestly calling requires a new mindset. We must stop seeing ourselves as powerless and begin to see ourselves as people who belong to God, hear from God, and obey God.
Seeing in the Spirit
We are already in a battle. The battle is between good and evil, light and darkness, truth and deception. Ephesians 6:12 says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood,” but against spiritual forces. When we received salvation, we entered the kingdom of God and became part of this spiritual battle.
Because of this, our spiritual eyes and ears must be open. Jesus said, “He who has ears to hear, let him hear” (Matthew 11:15). We need to hear what the Spirit is saying and see what God is doing. Faith helps us receive from the spiritual dimension and walk in obedience in the natural dimension.
Second Corinthians 5:7 says, “We walk by faith, not by sight.” This does not mean we ignore reality. It means we let God’s truth be higher than what we see with our natural eyes. Faith sees what God has spoken and believes He is able to bring it to pass.
Moving to Greater Levels of Faith
God desires that His people grow in faith. Faith has to be exercised. The more we trust God, obey His Word, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, the more our spiritual senses become trained. Hebrews 5:14 says mature believers have their senses trained “to distinguish good from evil.”
We move from milk to solid food. We move from being children in understanding to becoming mature sons and daughters. Hebrews 6:1 says, “Let us go on to maturity.” God’s Church cannot stay immature. It is time to grow up in Christ.
Greater levels of faith are not for pride or attention. They are for obedience, service, and the manifestation of God’s glory on earth. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16, “Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”
Conclusion
God is calling His people into a renewed mind, active faith, holy priesthood, and greater spiritual maturity. We are not called to live only by what we see in the natural. We are called to hear God, obey God, and walk by faith.
The battle is already here, but God has equipped His people. Our eyes must be open. Our ears must be open. Our hearts must be submitted. As we exercise faith and obey the Word of God, we will grow into maturity and see the glory of God manifested through our lives.
It is time for God’s Church to move on to maturity, rise in faith, stand as a holy priesthood, and reveal His light in the earth.
