This is the heart of God concerning you:
“This means that, contrary to man’s perspective, the Lord is not late with his promise to return, as some measure lateness. But rather, his “delay” simply reveals his loving patience toward you, because he does not want any to perish but all to come to repentance.” (2 Peter 3:9 TPT)
God does not want you to be overcome by the world. He takes the necessary time to prepare His people so that we’ll be in position to receive His promise and partake of His glory.
Many of you may be feeling disappointed and hopeless, but God wants you to know that it’s time for you to be refreshed and rejuvenated. God is not done with you yet! “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 1:6)
I believe we live in a time where God is calling each one of us to move beyond the status quo and into a greater position of influence as His Kingdom people. It is a season to make strides in how we think so that we can become Kingdom influencers.
We need to understand God’s ways so that we can get in step with His will. In Psalm 25:4-5, David cried out to the Lord “Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”
This should be our heart cry as well. Once you know the ways of God you can truly cooperate with Him. This is the season to come up higher; God always calls you up higher when He wants to speak something deeper to you. “Friend, come up higher.” Luke 14:10 (Wuest NT)
What an awesome thing to know that God invites you to come up higher, to move up to a better place than where you are in life right now. You should never be satisfied with where you simply began your walk with Christ.
I believe Hebrews 5:12-14 is speaking to the church right now: “For you should already be professors instructing others by now; but instead, you need to be taught from the beginning the basics of God’s prophetic oracles! You’re like children still needing milk and not yet ready to digest solid food. For every spiritual infant who lives on milk is not yet pierced by the revelation of righteousness. But solid food is for the mature, whose spiritual senses perceive heavenly matters. And they have been adequately trained by what they’ve experienced to emerge with understanding of the difference between what is truly excellent and what is evil and harmful.”
We have become unskillful in the word of righteousness. In the time of battle, many are not postured and prepared as God’s people to deal with the opposition by putting on the full armor of God. We must be supernaturally infused with strength through our life-union with the Lord Jesus. And stand victorious with the force of His explosive power flowing in and through us. (Eph. 6:10-18) When you are able to rightly divide the word of truth (2 Tim. 2:15), God begins to open your eyes and show you His ways.
My desire for you is that you would know God’s ways, and not merely the acts of God.
