“…God willing, we will move forward to further understanding.” (Hebrews 6:3 NIV)
I cannot stress the importance of spending time in God’s Word. Get to know His ways through His Word! The Word of God has been a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path for the last 25 years.
Apostle Paul prayed in Ephesians 1:17-19 (The Voice), “Give them minds ready to receive wisdom and revelation so they will truly know You. 18 Open the eyes of their hearts, and let the light of Your truth flood in. Shine Your light on the hope You are calling them to embrace. Reveal to them the glorious riches You are preparing as their inheritance. 19 Let them see the full extent of Your power that is at work in those of us who believe, and may it be done according to Your might and power.”
I pray this same prayer for the Church today. In this video I stress the importance of being rooted and grounded in God’s Word. I also share a few scriptures to help the hearers understand the importance of the importance of God’s Word in light of the times we are living in. God would not have us ignorant of the times we are in, so take heed to the message and remain steadfast in faith.
Hebrews 6:1-3 The Voice (VOICE)
“1 So let’s push on toward a more perfect understanding and move beyond just the basic teachings of the Anointed One. There’s no reason to rehash the fundamentals: repenting from what you loved in your old dead lives, believing in God as our Creator and Redeemer, 2 teaching about baptism,[a] setting aside those called to service through the ritual laying on of hands, the coming resurrection of those who have died, and God’s final judgment of all people for all time. 3 No, we will move on toward perfection, if God wills it.
2 Timothy 3:16-17 The Voice (VOICE)
16 “All of Scripture is God-breathed; in its inspired voice, we hear useful teaching, rebuke, correction, instruction, and training for a life that is right 17 so that God’s people may be up to the task ahead and have all they need to accomplish every good work.”
Rebuke – disapproval or criticism of (someone) because of their behavior or actions.
Psalm 119:130 The Voice (VOICE)
130 “When Your words are unveiled, light shines forth; they bring understanding to the simple.”
Simple … lacking in knowledge of the truth according to God’s Word
The prophet Isaiah prophesied in The Book of Isaiah 9:2, “The people who had been living in darkness have seen a great light. The light of life has shined on those who dwelt in the shadowy darkness of death.”
In Chapter 60, he prophesied that gross darkness covers the earth. We are witnessing this today and it’s getting darker. “Rise up in splendor and be radiant, for your light has dawned, and Yahweh’s glory now streams from you. Look carefully! Darkness blankets the earth, and thick gloom covers the nations, but Yahweh arises upon you and the brightness of his glory appears over you! Nations will be attracted to your radiant light and kings to the sunrise-glory of your new day.” Isaiah 60:1-3 The Passion Translation (TPT)
I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power that’s made available to you through faith. Then our lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you!
